Nestled at the meeting point of the celebrated Lavaux vineyards and the peaceful Swiss countryside, our estate offers a unique blend of heritage, tranquility and convenience. Here, you can enjoy the calm of rural life while remaining just minutes from the vibrant lakeside towns of Lausanne and Vevey.

Originally built in 1720, Domaine du Deven began its life as a traditional Vaudois farmhouse. Over the centuries, it has evolved with care and respect for its history. Today, the original farmhouse has been thoughtfully renovated into two modern, comfortable apartments, while preserving the character and authenticity of the building.

These apartments are not operated as a hotel. They are part of our family home and are available to guests whenever they are not reserved for family and friends. We hope this gives the property a warmth and authenticity that is increasingly rare.

The former barn has been transformed into our family's home, where we live year-round with our two four-legged companions. Our friendly dog is always delighted to greet new arrivals—sometimes with a little more enthusiasm than expected! If you are uncomfortable around dogs, Domaine du Deven may not be the ideal choice. Our cat, meanwhile, prefers a quiet life and usually keeps a respectful distance from everyone.

One of the things we cherish most about Domaine du Deven is its setting. To one side stretch the terraced vineyards of Lavaux, a UNESCO World Heritage Site overlooking Lake Geneva. To the other lies the gentle Swiss countryside, where the sound of cowbells provides a soothing soundtrack to the day. Early risers are often rewarded with the sight of deer crossing the fields or foxes quietly making their way through the property at dawn or dusk.

Although we are only a short drive from Lausanne, Vevey and Montreux, life here feels wonderfully removed from the bustle of everyday life. We believe that this rare combination—being close to everything while feeling far away—is one of the estate's greatest luxuries.

Respecting this beautiful environment is also an important part of life at Domaine du Deven. The estate is equipped with a solar energy system and a modern heat pump, allowing us to produce much of our own energy whenever the weather permits. While preserving the character of this 300-year-old farmhouse, we are equally committed to making it as sustainable and energy-efficient as possible for generations to come.

Whether you come to explore Lavaux, discover the Swiss Riviera, hike through vineyards, or simply slow down for a few days, we hope Domaine du Deven will feel less like a holiday rental and more like a place you will want to return to.
